About the Role
The Financial Sector Development and Financial Inclusion Support Project (PADSFI), financed by the African Development Bank (AfDB), aims to strengthen the stability, depth, and inclusiveness of the financial system in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
In this context, the Belgian Bankers Academy (BBA) is assisting the Project Management Unit (PMU/PADSFI) in implementing a mission to raise awareness among Congolese financial market players.
This mission includes, in particular:
the drafting of an Investor's Guide,
the establishment of a yield curve,
a training and awareness program in several cities across the country.
About the Role
Under the supervision of the Head of Mission and in coordination with the economic expert, the Financial Markets Analyst will contribute their expertise in understanding, analyzing, and modeling the Congolese financial market.
They will contribute to establishing the yield curve, analyzing financial instruments, and producing decision-making tools for authorities and institutional investors.
Main responsibilities
Collect and analyze data relating to the Congolese capital market.
Participate in the construction of the yield curve and the analysis of returns.
Identify trends, risks, and opportunities in the financial market.
Develop forecasting models and market monitoring reports.
Contribute to the drafting of the Investor's Guide and economic summary notes.
Support the training of market players on financial tools and indicators.
Produce periodic reports on the performance and evolution of the Congolese financial market.
Required profile
Master's degree (BAC+5) in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, or Market Analysis.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the financial markets or in a financial institution.
Experience in monitoring emerging markets and constructing yield curves.
Strong skills in financial modeling, quantitative analysis, and economic forecasting.
Proficiency in statistical and financial tools (advanced Excel, EViews, R, Python, or equivalents).
Good knowledge of the African economic context.
Excellent command of French; knowledge of English is an asset.
