About the Role
The Financial Sector Development and Financial Inclusion Support Project (PADSFI), financed by the African Development Bank (AfDB), aims to strengthen the stability, depth, and inclusiveness of the financial system in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
In this context, the Belgian Bankers Academy (BBA) is assisting the Project Management Unit (PMU/PADSFI) in implementing a mission to raise awareness among Congolese financial market players.
This mission includes, in particular:
- the drafting of an Investor's Guide,
- the establishment of a yield curve,
- a training and awareness program in several cities across the country.
About the Role
As Head of Mission, you will be responsible for the technical and strategic coordination of the mission to raise awareness among Congolese financial market players, as part of the Financial Sector Development and Financial Inclusion Support Project (PADSFI).
You will lead a multidisciplinary team of experts in communication, economic analysis, and training, while liaising with the Project Management Unit (PMU), the Central Bank of Congo, the Ministry of Finance, and institutional stakeholders.
Main tasks
- Lead the awareness-raising mission and supervise all technical deliverables.
- Conduct a diagnosis of the Congolese financial market and analyze investment opportunities.
- Oversee the drafting of the Investor's Guide and the development of the yield curve.
- Ensure coordination with stakeholders: Central Bank of Congo, Ministry of Finance, private and institutional actors.
- Guarantee the methodological quality and technical compliance of the work with AfDB and BBA standards.
- Support the design of a capacity-building plan for market players.
Required profile
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in finance, economics, investment management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the financial sector, including 5 years in emerging or African markets.
- Have led at least 2 similar missions in the last 5 years.
- Proven expertise in setting up yield curves, structuring financial markets, or raising private capital.
- Strong skills in economic and financial analysis and technical report writing.
- Experience in international cooperation and advising public or private financial institutions.
- Excellent command of French; English is an asset.
