About the Role
The Belgian Bankers Academy (BBA) supports public and private financial institutions in structuring sustainable financing mechanisms for SMEs, financial inclusion, and ecological transition.
As part of several technical assistance missions in preparation and/or underway in West Africa, particularly in Senegal and Côte d'Ivoire, the BBA regularly mobilizes international, regional, and national expertise.
The missions cover, in particular:
institutional and strategic support to public bodies (guarantee funds, agencies, financial institutions);
support for partner financial institutions in developing and implementing products tailored to SMEs;
integration of ESG/sustainable finance/monitoring and evaluation issues into financial mechanisms;
mobilization of expertise in sustainable finance and integration of climate risks into the financial sector.
About the Role
The Information Systems Expert (GIS/MIS) provides technical assistance in West Africa (particularly Senegal and Côte d'Ivoire), supporting the structuring, improvement, and/or operationalization of information systems used to manage, monitor, and report on financial mechanisms.
Main responsibilities
• Support the analysis and formalization of MIS/MIS needs (functional and operational).
• Contribute to the structuring of approaches to data collection, processing, and reporting, according to the mission framework.
• Produce recommendations and technical contributions in interaction with the teams concerned.
Required profile
• Proven expertise in GIS/MIS, ideally applied to financial mechanisms or programs.
• Rigorous, autonomous, analytical and writing skills.
• Perfect command of French; knowledge of English is an asset.
