Description

The Belgian Bankers Academy helped COPEDU PLC analyze and optimize its product offering to become the first women-focused bank in Africa. The mission was divided into four key stages:

  1. Diagnosis of the existing offering

    • Review of current financial products (commercial, agricultural, and social loans) and identification of barriers to their adoption by women and young people.

    Gender and sector segmentation

    • Detailed analysis of needs by gender and age group, segmented by sector of activity (SMEs, agriculture, trade).

    Product and marketing recommendations

    • Proposals for new, tailored credit and savings products, targeted communication and marketing strategies.

  2. Digital integration

    • Review of existing digital finance solutions, recommendations for the implementation of mobile tools and online platforms to expand reach.

  • Segment by gender/age and map the needs of MSMEs
  • Design new credit and savings products for women and youth
