Description
Between January 2016 and May 2017, the Belgian Bankers Academy provided technical assistance to BVF Société Générale – one of the banks participating in the GPP SOLIDIS guarantee fund, domiciled at SOLIDIS on behalf of the PASEF project – in order to:
Strengthen the MSME offering– Assessment of the MSME portfolio: identification of segments, analysis of lending practices and dedicated resources.– Optimization of the product offering: adaptation of targeting, creation of file analysis tools and training of account managers.
Set up monitoring of the GPP– Design an automated reporting system to monitor loans eligible for the GPP: guarantee indicators, volumes, and maturities.– Develop periodic reports and train teams in the use of dashboards.
At the end of the assignment, BVF Société Générale had a robust methodology for developing its MSME customer base and an operational GPP monitoring tool, ensuring transparency and traceability of guarantee mechanisms.
Role of BBA
- Initial analysis: collection and assessment of MSME lending practices and the bank's needs
- Product development: adaptation of the MSME offering, creation of application assessment and scoring tools
- Training: sessions for account managers on MSME market operations and credit plan structuring
- GPP monitoring system: specification of requirements, configuration of automated reporting and construction of dashboards
- Operational support: coaching teams in the daily use of the system and development of user guides
- Key deliverables: MSME procedure manuals, technical specifications for GPP monitoring, training materials and mission reports
