Description
The project "Strengthening Financial Actors (RIM and MFIs) – Burundi," funded by Enabel, aims to strengthen the institutional, organizational, and operational capacities of the Microfinance Institutions Network (RIM) and two selected Burundian Microfinance Institutions (MFIs).
The initiative contributes to the professionalization of the microfinance sector, the improvement of governance, resilience, and performance of actors, as well as the integration of ESG principles into a sustainable financial inclusion approach.
Role of BBA
BBAcademy's main tasks:
Methodological support in defining selection criteria and conducting the call for expressions of interest.
Carrying out RIM and MFI assessments and developing reinforcement plans.
Integrating and monitoring ESG and governance criteria.
Supervision of the quality and compliance of deliverables, feedback workshops, and capitalization.
Role of BBA: leader of technical assistance, guarantor of methodological quality, ESG steering, and compliance with Enabel standards.
