


Description
The Belgian Bankers Academy is part of the consortium led by Stantec to carry out the following tasks as Secretariat of the Sustainable Finance Advisory Hub:
Technical, administrative, and strategic coordination
Organizing and monitoring work between the European Commission, appointed experts, and national authorities.
Operational management of meetings, planning, and milestones for the Hub.
Methodological support for the implementation of the green taxonomy
Development of guides and technical notes on the application of ESG criteria in the financial sector.
Harmonization of interpretations and best practices between institutions.
Awareness-raising and training for stakeholders
Design and facilitation of workshops and webinars for banks, insurers, regulators, and SMEs.
Development of educational modules on CSRD, SFDR, and non-financial reporting requirements.
Drafting of technical content and summaries
Production of summary sheets, case studies, and position papers on sustainability issues.
Preparation of feedback and recommendations for DG FISMA.
Dialogue and facilitation between stakeholders
Facilitation of thematic working groups to gather needs and guide the evolution of standards.
Transmission of feedback from the field to European decision-makers to refine regulations.
Role of BBA
- Technical expertise: support in drafting methodological content on green taxonomy and sustainable reporting
- Training & workshops: design and delivery of ESG training modules for financial actors and SMEs
- Project management: administrative coordination of the consortium (Stantec + BBA), budget monitoring and schedule compliance
- Stakeholder dialogue: facilitation of working groups and synthesis of feedback
- Summary notes: production of thematic fact sheets and recommendations for the Commission
