Description
Belgian Bankers Academy supported COPEDU PLC in analysing and optimising its product offering with the aim of becoming Africa’s leading bank focused on women. The assignment was structured around four key stages:
Assessment of the Existing Product Offering
Reviewing current financial products, including commercial, agricultural and social loans, and identifying barriers to their uptake by women and young people.
Gender and Sector Segmentation
Conducting a detailed analysis of needs by gender and age group, segmented by sector of activity, including SMEs, agriculture and trade.
Product and Marketing Recommendations
Proposing new tailored credit and savings products, together with targeted communication and marketing strategies.
Digital Integration
Reviewing existing digital finance solutions and recommending mobile tools and online platforms to extend outreach.

Collecting and analysing data on existing products and customer feedback
Segmenting customers by gender and mapping the needs of women-owned MSMEs
Designing new credit and savings products for women and young people
