Description

The technical assistance project for the Development Bank of Ethiopia, DBE, was implemented by Belgian Bankers Academy, BBA, with funding from the European Investment Bank, EIB. Its main objective was to strengthen DBE’s institutional, financial and operational capacities in order to improve its effectiveness in financing development and productive investment in Ethiopia.

The assignment focused on consolidating financial management systems, strengthening governance, upgrading monitoring and evaluation tools, and transferring skills to DBE staff. The assistance also supported the modernisation of internal processes, the structuring of key departments and closer alignment with international financial management standards.
